The Good Life, according to Martin Seligman’s framework, is using our signatures strengths as frequently as possible in the realms of work, love, and parenting, with the aim of living a life filled with Authentic Happiness (the name of his book) and abundant gratification.
That process must begin with knowing yourself and your signature strengths. Aka developing a strong and clear core. Who am I? What am I best at? Where do I shine? What do I love to do? What character strengths are most core to who I am? Write and get clarity. Then strengthen those muscles and apply them consistently toward your highest callings – whether work, love, or parenting. Rinse and repeat.
