If you want to get out of dysfunction or a stuck state you must be willing to do some hard things. Are you willing to crank up the pain and orient toward your dream state?
Crank up your pain by actually inspecting it rather than ignoring or numbing it. Ask yourself some hard questions – what cost is too high that I’m currently paying? What chronic pain am I tolerating that is slowly killing me?
Orient toward your dream state by first getting clarity on what it is, and then asking yourself what hard things must be done to get to it? What dream is big enough to move the needle? It’ll probably be a scary one because it won’t be without risk. Good. That means it actually matters to you.
Both of these bookends matter. It’s the mushy middle where people slowly waste away. Unwilling to dream big enough and find something worth chasing on one end, and unwilling to dig into pain so they numb it on the other end. Slow death. Use either lever, the pain or the dream, or both, to get your dying ass moving.

Have you read Master of Change by Brad Stulberg? It’s a solid one on this subject! Been enjoying your writing…Thanks!
