Integrated living

We don’t rise to the occasion, we fall to the level of our training. This Navy Seal maxim is true in all facets of our lives. The other day in a practice with a group of leaders they wrote and shared about how their experiences as parents are shaping them into better leaders. For some it’s learning better emotional regulation, for others it’s learning to better advocate for themselves and others.

If we’re tuned in, there’s learning to be found in all we do. And if we’re living an integrated life, growth in one area typically leads to growth in all others. Pick up the pen and do some writing…
