Habits matter. If you’re not getting your productive actions (PAs) done consistently, that’s a problem. Perhaps the worst thing you can do is hope you’ll get it right the next time and then repeat the pattern. Every time you fail to do what you say you’ll do, you are less able to trust yourself.
Stop. Assess. Why are you failing? Are you taking on too much? Not planning appropriately? Do you not actually care about the PAs you’re taking on? Each has a different path to improvement. Get clear on what it is, then get after it. Do what you say you’ll do – it’s a vote in favor of who you want to become. Dial back the PAs if needed. Prioritize building personal trust…consistently doing what you tell yourself you’ll do.
