Chad Silverstein

My entrepreneurial journey started in 1997, while going to Ohio State during my senior year. After a summer job, I started my first company, Choice Recovery, Inc., and opened my first office after graduating.

In 2010, I hired Built to Lead and began practicing one-on-one with Chet Scott. Within six months, my leadership team joined us. Together, we practiced for over a decade.

In 2013, I took a leap with my OPUS and founded [re]start, a career development platform designed to help people find new jobs. Initially, it started as a new division inside my collection agency, but in 2018, after launching a new multi-user app, I began offering the service to other companies as a social impact initiative

In 2019, I launched my third company, Platform Partners, LLC to help other companies address chronic technology, onboarding, and employee training issues. After successfully using Playbook, an online LMS platform, to solve problems in my own business, I became an active investor in Playbook and began assisting other companies in creating their own team playbooks.

In 2022, I sold Choice Recovery, Inc. on my 25th anniversary. The following year, I sold the majority of [re]start, allowing me to focus on my next expression as a Builder.

In 2023, I joined Authority Magazine as a lead journalist and soon took on a larger role as the Strategic Advisor for their thought-leader incubator program.

After more than 500 one-on-one practices with Chet and participated in and facilitated in over 400 team practices together, I took on my first client with Built to Lead in 2024, as I simultaneously launched an online community for all of us. I only plan to have a few 1×1 engagements, and I know exactly who I’m looking for. The rest of my time will be spent being a heartbeat inside our community, working hard to connect people to what I’ve been so blessed to receive, so they too can become Built to Lead.
