Jim…

What an awesome week this has been. I’ve been writing my little butt off. The 12 Essentials of Excellence have been in need of a rewrite for almost two years. This past week they’ve endured a complete overhaul. Here’s what I’ve discovered through this process.

The act of writing this blog has been more powerful for me than I even knew.

How do I know?

This rewrite.

Here’s the extrapolation for all of us.

If you and I want to improve our performance in any aspect of our work and life. We can do it. All that is required is that we LOVE the process, that we want to get better no matter what the cost, and that we are ready for some REAL, HARD, WORK.

Very cool.

Here’s something else kinda cool. Jim. Jim is a BUILT TO LEAD client that sent me his thoughts on the latest blog via mail. Here is his response. Check it out.

“As for good intentions. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak- for all generations…Without the deep, tough work in driving to your personal CORE and anchoring yourself there to eternal principles (either religious or non-religious/ethical}, the current and tides of this life of illusions and distractions will carry you about like so much flotsam.”

I’m not sure what flotsam is but I love the thought.

What do you think?
