Jayhawk for LIFE…

Another great week at BTL. This one was all about life for me. Oh yeah, I ran a couple practices, worked with a new client, and met with several existing ones. But from wednesday on it was all about Miss, Krit, Tay, and me.

We went college hunting. Krit has got it going. She wants to be a journalist…either magazine or TV. I want her to write for us.

On wednesday we went to OU. Fourth ranked Journalism in the U.S. of A. She likeee.

Thursday we went west. We flew to K.U. and visited the Jayhawks. First off we did a little shopping on Mass street. What a cool downtown they have. The first person Krit saw had a bright green “Young Life” shirt on and just happened to be crossing the same street as we were. Who knew. We stopped, talked, and Krit connected. Next we met one of the leaders of the School of Journalism. As the day wore on she met a bunch of really cool folks and even got to see her cousin throw the winning touchdown pass later that night. We had some dinner with my sister and her family and then drove back to Lawrence to crash. A long but memory filled day.

Friday she visited dorms and met more Jayhawks. Little brother had his own agenda. He had been really good doing big sis’ stuff but he wanted to meet the “real” jayhawks.

The basketball players.

We went to Allen Fieldhouse three times hoping to catch them practicing. The third time was a charm. He got all his favorite players to sign his shirt and almost the entire team to sign his basketball…including Coach Self. They all were really great about it too.

He hasn’t stopped talking about it for 24 hours.

Margin is AMAZING. Margin let’s you and I build something no amount of money can replace. Margin CAN creat memories.

My daughter may go to K.U. and become a Jayhawk. We still have a few more schools to visit.

My son Taylor is another story. He is, NOW, a Jayhawk for LIFE.

Very cool.
