What do you believe…

I’m tired. I know it and now you know it. I’m simply in need of some rest. Here’s why?

I’ve been conflicted for most of the week. I’ve been unable to see my way forward. Then, last night, it was as if the LIGHT went on. Here’s the source of my conflict. Do NOT miss this. This is HUGE. I have missed this for many moons.

The vision, for even the really cool teams, is NOT ever really CLEAR. Never. It can always be CLEARER. It never stops needing another rinse.

The vision is simply somewhat clear to the one that cast it or to the one that cast it first. Every BTL leader knows the power of clarity. Every BTL leader wants clarity for themselves and clarity for their teams. Clarity allows us to speed forward with confidence.

Clarity allows the team to run toward something as if drawn by an ever increasing source of LIGHT. A lack of clarity causes that same team to proceed with caution; much like some migratory people trying to navigate their way forward while in the DARK. Every team wants more clarity from their leader, their founder, their manager, their peers, their front line, and countless others.

The bar is highest for those on TOP.

I’ve written about this. I’ve talked about this. I’ve tried to model this. I’ve written about this. I’ve talked about this. I’ve tried to model this. I’ve gotten really upset when people don’t get it. I’ve gotten REALLY upset when people don’t get it.

Here’s the learning. I’ve written about this in the 8 and countless other places. Note to self…it appears that maybe I don’t get it.

THE LEADER WILL GET TIRED OF REPEATING THE VISION LONG BEFORE THE TEAM ACTUALLY HEARS THE VISION.

Keep writing.

Keep rinsing.

Keep repeating.

Keep living it and living it and living it.

Keep gaining CLARITY with your team.

Keep helping others see more clearly.

Keep allowing others to eliminate YOUR blind spots.

Keep learning from those around you. AND…

Remind me when you see me of a simple truth. A simple truth that I believe. Remind me that what I’ve written in my worldview statement is TRUE.
