Bill stands about 6’3″. He’s opinionated, animated, and reminds you of a mans man. He’s the kind of guy you want in your corner when things get rough.
Today, he taught his fellow builders a bunch.
You see, Bill told a story about being “unproductive” that was, well, very personal. He told his fellow builder’s about an 8 hour car ride back and forth to baseball games in Woody Hayes hometown. During these “unproductive” hours he told the builders something really personal.
Something unexpected.
He surprised us. He told us that he could relate to the power of being “unproductive” because that’s when he “fell in love with his wife.”
At BTL we never know where these practice sessions are going. We TRUST the team and let it flow. Some practices are better than others because of this. We take risks. Sometimes the team hits home runs. Sometimes they hit singles. I’ve yet to watch anyone “strike out.” It just doesn’t happen. Some “Bill” always comes through just when we least expect them to. This is the power of letting go.
Nobody saw this one coming. Very cool, Bill.
Thank you, Mike for giving your builders this gift. I feel like I should start paying YOU!

you can start anytime, that is, paying me!
thank you, i’m having the time of my life.
Chet,
First of all I have to thank you for the time you spend with us and the passion you have for what you do. It is infectious! Our company has developed an atmosphere of the most important aspect of any relationship……Trust! I can express my opinion, give ideas, tell stories, and know others I work with listen and care! Even more, I WANT to listen to my co-workers for anything they have to offer because I know they trust me! How cool is that?! Talk about awsome! Thank you Chet and Mike for giving us this gift!
Oh yeah, my wife and I can’t wait to go on our next drive for some more “unproductive” time!
Bill
