I NEED HELP…

Today we held practice with a group of dirt lovers.  We invested a bunch of time REviewing ground we had recently covered.  We retraced our steps AND developed a deeper understanding of WHY it was required.

We began to learn the path to becoming a genius in our work and life.  We gained clarity together.  We learned from Project Managers and from Field Operations.  We learned that they are not really on the same team.

We learned that we need to learn from some outsiders.  We learned that some of best learning will come from asking those that are really in “the dirt.” We learned that together we improve is not just our tagline, but the only way to really live.  We learned from the Executives too.

Who knew?

We learned the power of being transparent AND willing to die for your vision.  We learned that Doug is the real deal, even if he is from Kentucker.  We learned the power of three little words.

I NEED HELP.

We agreed to help each other.

Today, this team got a little bit stronger.  Today, real trust was built.  Today, trust gained some ground.

Slowly…

Very cool.

  1. I’m watching the final minutes of the Celtic – Piston game. Studying, honing my skills for future hoop games. Next time we’ll have to use a proper gym and I recommend some refs, as there was a bit of fouling.

I wanted to say Thank You to all the BTL guys and MM. I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of both MM, Inc. and the BTL team. You guys are life-changers. I can’t wait ’til next time.

P.S. Has John’s wounds healed? Hopefully you BTL guys will come to realize that although we are simple builders, we can be a bit tough.

    Take Care.

  2. Josh. . . can’t put into words how much we enjoyed work & play with you & your team Tuesday.

p.s. My wife assures me my mouth is still working fine — glad the back of your head is ok, although I’m pretty convinced you don’t need a hard hat. However, I’m still a little bummed you guys called our last game with the score tied 11-11 . . .I’m not buying your “simple builders” line, but I am wondering do we have more work to do so you guys don’t call off on EVERY job when you get a little blood on it?

  3. Johnny,
Well I guess we’ll have to pick up right where we left off next time. You guys were a little outnumbered, so I suggest you and Chet bring some reinforcements (You’ll need it).
All kidding aside, it was a ton of fun and I look forward to mixing it up again. Both inside the office as well any other arena. Have a great Memorial Day weekend and let me know what you find out about the baseball deal.

    JB
