Yesterday’s practice was stinkin’ AWESOME. We covered only two paragraphs in the playbooks and yet made unbelievable progress. Who knew.
Half way through the day I shared a tiny insight that has been a HUGE discovery for me. It’s so obvious and yet so easily missed. It holds one of the keys to mental health and to high performance. And, oddly enough, to transformational relationships. Here it is. Do NOT miss this. This is HUGE.
You CANNOT make another LOVE.
You cannot make another person love you. That’s why we call it “falling.”
You cannot make another person love the work you love. Stop trying.
You cannot make another person love the work you want them to love. Stop selling.
You cannot make another company love your product or service. Just make sure YOU do.
You cannot make your son or daughter love to learn. Show them what you LOVE to learn about.
You CANNOT make another LOVE. Just love them.
Let that sink in for awhile. Do you see where you are fighting this truth? Look hard enough and I predict you will see how pervasive this is. Instead of fighting, try this on.
Try falling again. Fall in love with your work and life. Fall hard. Do not try to brace your fall. And… watch how that changes EVERYTHING.
Very cool…
