Today a stranger showed up to practice with a bunch of dirt lovers. For all that gave him their attention, there was much to be learned. We mostly argued with his perspective, however.
This is normal.
We defend the status quo. We, humans, are darn near experts on continuing to do what we’ve always done. We’re NOT so good at hearing that, NOW, might be a good time to try something new. We tend to defend, deny, and destroy anyone and any argument that causes us to CHANGE. We would rather sit down and slowly die than take the risk to change.
This runs deep.
What strangers can you learn from?
What different perspectives are you welcoming into your world?
What small change are you making today?
What deep change are you making to ensure your survival?
Who stretches you to the point of being uncomfortable?
