“Quiet” Kevin and his band of builders…

Kevin was reluctant to share today.  He waited and waited for others to speak.  Finally, I asked him to talk to the team of 20+ builders.  He told me that he had already told his team and that was enough.  A couple of the other builders chimed in as well.  They too wanted to hear from this strong builder.  At last, he relented.

He told the team exactly what he is going to do to build himself stronger.  He’s going to face his fears, talk to his bride, his boss (already done), his fellow builders (already done), and sign up for those HVAC classes.  He’s already a master carpenter who is NOT stopping there.  He will continue to get better.  He will continue to inspire his fellow builders to get better.  AND, now he wants to be able to hold the SUB’S that he works with more accountable and extend his knowledge further because he wants to be the best. Kevin, Andy, Michael, Bill, Jim, Lula, Kathleen, Maury, Mike, Mike, Daniel, Stark, Josh, Dave, Michael, Andy Bush and the rest of the Matrka team fire me up.  Every time I’m building with them they blow me away.

I only have a couple clients within miles of them.  Who knew…

They have been building for years now and you can see their individual and collective strength.  They TRUST each other.  They help each other.  They hold each other accountable.  They REALLY trust the MAN on the top.

AND, they seem to laugh more each time I see them.  This is a team that is tasting what it means to become BUILT TO LEAD.  They are experiencing team chemistry.

Signing up for some HVAC class may not sound like the makings of team chemistry, but IT is.  Team chemistry is built by thousands of little decisions.  Team chemistry is built by strong builders NOT waiting for the leader.  Team chemistry is built by lots of small, seemingly insignificant moments that collectively build TRUST.  TRUST takes time and lots of work to build.  TRUST gives all around the energy to do more, take more risks, ask for help, admit their mistakes, dream and do, and of course, to just plain have more fun.

Soooooooooo…

If you are reading this, you live in central ohio, and you are even thinking about remodeling your current home, repairing your current home, or building a new one, you must do yourself a favor and call these guys.

You can TRUST them.

Building is their OPUS.  You will see the difference.  Very cool.

What are you doing to build trust in yourself?

What are you doing to help your team build trust in themselves?

What are you doing to build trust between members of your team?

What are you doing to build trust between you and your teams?

What are you dreaming about that is big enough to inspire someone to follow?

Tell me more…
