Women want their man to listen. They want to be heard and understood. The truth is that this is what we men want too. We just have a harder time expressing it so simply, so clearly, and, oftentimes, so directly.
Turns out that’s the same thing we want from our leaders. Funny, huh.
We want our leaders to listen. Simple, isn’t it. Here’s what’s goofy about this whole thing. As followers we want our leaders to hear us. Got it. Once heard though we don’t mind at all if they DECIDE to act contrary to what we told them. Are you kidding me?
Nope.
We don’t expect the leader to lead us according to what the majority tell him or her. Really, we don’t. We want our leaders to listen, to hear all sides of the story, AND we then want our leaders to decide to act based on what they believe.
That is the only way we’ll find them believable.
Funny, huh.
Who, on your team, do you have a hard time hearing?
Why is it that the simple truths are often the hard ones too?
Why is it that so few brides feel understood, heard, and cared for by their man?
Why is the same true for many on your team?
Why, why, why?
