This morning I met with one of my favorite clients. This guy is a stud. He’s NOT the biggest client, he’s NOT the biggest in his industry, he’s NOT got the biggest brain. But, he’s got the best ideas AND is the most prolific example I’ve seen of the power of living and working in your OPUS.
Remember this. A small team pursuing and living their OPUS will almost ALWAYS beat a big team of highly paid laborers. Need some evidence? Check out Patagonia, Clif Bars, and Scaled Composites. Or, look around at what companies you tell your friends about, what restaurants you frequent, what people you are drawn toward. You’ll see the pattern. OPUS is the one you want.
Moving on.
Today we collaborated. I mean really we did. We put our heads together and came up with three new ideas that WILL help each of us. These ideas will cost each of us in time and money. AND, pay us dividends in the same green stuff.
Go meet with your customers, clients, partners, suppliers, and fellow “builders.” Have only one agenda. Do NOT miss this. This is HUGE.
Focus your mind on giving them ideas that will move them toward their dreams. Stop worrying about how you will benefit. Stop thinking about your world, your fears, your payroll. Give all of your attention to the person in front of you and try to really help them.
You will start to taste the edges of chemistry. You will start to feel like you’ve poured into another. You will begin to experience the “after taste.” This aftertaste will not be bitter; instead it will be pure butter baby.
You are on the verge of collaborating with your system. You are about to explode. In a good way.
You will taste what it feels like to practice “abundance.”
Are you full of ideas about your future?
Are you living and working in your OPUS?
Are you practicing “abundance” today?
Are you aware of your team members dreams?
Are you moving anyone around you toward theirs?
What are you doing to improve your performance?
Can you prove it?
Are you aware of how it “feels” when you turn up another vs. how THEY feel when you tune them out?
Slow down and reflect.
Now….
Choose to ACT.
Very cool.
