Your idea is not the message. Your powerpoint is not the message. Your company is not the message. Your new product or service is not the message. Your fancy suit is not the message nor is your fancy car, your sophisticated tone, or your impressive list of clients. Your new marketing slogan, your new brand, your new vision statement, and even your new advertising campaign is NOT your message. Here’s a shocker. Even your good work is not your message. Your good work is a must, don’t misunderstand, but even that is not enough to make you memorable.
Today, as you approach your market, remember this. Do NOT miss this. This is HUGE. This is marketing 101…
YOU are the message.
The market remembers those whose message is sent from “fiery eyes.” Eyes that have “shoot” in them. Eyes that pierce those that dare return their gaze. Eyes that cut through the noise and clangor of normal messages and seer our memory banks. These eyes are not for everyone and they do not try to be. They send a message that connects with those they are meant to reach. The market they are meant to reach cannot help but respond. This is marketing 101. Do you see it?
Remember, YOU are the message.
