Today served as a reminder for me. I met with a number of clients. I believe in all of these clients and I am grateful for their belief in BTL. Almost all of our clients are performing at levels that are behind their expectation, behind 2008, and behind on the bottom line. That is simply the reality that most businesses face in today’s economy. Here’s the only way forward.
Choose to ACT.
Today, I reminded all that I met to focus on their three. Three productive actions. Three productive actions that move them and their teams toward their vision, with a sense of purpose, and following a disciplined process that everybody in the system understands and follows.
Pick three.
Focus on productive action. Continue to clarify the vision and define your purpose. Period.
Sadly, many teams are simply paralyzed. Their paralysis looks like productive action but it’s not. It’s simply repeating actions that led them to where they are.
Are you focused on your three?
Do they represent DEEP CHANGE or are they simply more or less of the same?
Are they in writing and understood by all that matter?
Are you overwhelming yourself and those around with 30 productive actions, 30 new initiatives, 30 new directions, and with 30% less people to get ‘er done?
