The difference between A-Lone and ALL-one: PART 1

Slow down, give yourself the “gift of time”, and WRITE about someone who’s INSPIRED you in your life, including WHY. . .

. . . .felt pretty good, didn’t it? Now look for these 3 common elements:

1. They were “The Face of GRACE”. The word “grace” literally means “free gift”, and as Blaise Pascal put it, they gave you the gift of these four words — “I BELIEVE IN YOU”. They SAW something in you — an ability, a strength, a quality — and they cared enough to TELL you.

2. It was a time in your life looking back that was pivotal, formative, and/or vulnerable. THEY believed when you weren’t sure.

3. They helped you move forward with a few PRODUCTIVE ACTIONS — choices or decisions that stimulated positive inertia. AND they committed to what our late friend & colleague Larry Allen called the practice of “being WITH” — they stood by and checked up with you.

What’s our BUILT TO LEAD purpose? It’s transforming a collection of individuals, teams & leaders into ONE that’s BUILT TO LEAD. What’s the difference between leaders & teams that feel A-Lone versus ALL-one?

It’s ONE “L” of a difference, and that “L” is Love. “ALL-one” leaders are BELIEVERS in their team and BELOVERS of their team.

Want to become a master in the art of LIVING and in the art of LEADING? Then become a master in the art of LOVING. Become a “Face of Grace.” As you do so you will find your Opus — and you won’t be A-lone much longer. Love is contagious — you’ll be well on the way to having a team that’s ALL-one.

While you have a moment of clarity, WRITE:

Who is YOUR Face-of-Grace today?

Who on your TEAM could use a Face-of-Grace right now?

What are 1 to 3 PRODUCTIVE ACTIONS you could take to stimulate positive inertia?

“L” Yea, baby!
