Good is NOT the root enemy…

I just paged through Good to Great, for the third time.  It’s a very good book.  It’s not TRUE, but man is it well written.  Jim Collins and his teach of researchers can sure spin a good story.  Enough said.

The honest title for Collins book would have been, Arrogant to BUILT TO LEAD. He had already written the book titled, BUILT TO LAST and this would have been a righteous return to that root, only deeper.  Why?

Because good is NOT the root enemy of great as he puts forth in sentence one.  It’s NOT the root.

Arrogance is.

Bummer for us that most of us really don’t want to hear the truth.  If you are ready for some good meat and for a good, long bone to chew on, check out my man N.T.!  This guy has the wright stuff.  His latest read is titled, After You Believe. This one will cause you to think, challenge some of your word definitions, and give you something very rare these days.  A taste that is true.

Why is good enough not the root problem?

Why is arrogance so easy to see in another, and so hard to observe in ourselves?

Why is it that almost all destruction comes from within?

Why?  Why?  Why?

Are you making friends with “triple D,” instead of illuminating your blind spots?

Yea, BABY…
