Freedom, responsibility, and integrity…

Remember, the ultimate aim of all true leadership development is toward ever increasing personal integrity.  When a person closes his or her personal “integrity gaps,” they are becoming whole.  This is what we mean by becoming ONE.

This is the most difficult job of the leader, period.

Today, as I reminded another client of this truth, I caught another glimpse of why we all struggle here.  We all struggle with closing our own integrity gaps because it is simply easier to see the integrity gaps of another.  It just is.

Those of you that have been given the gift of freedom take heed.  Marry this gift with it’s proper bookend…

RESPONSIBILITY.

Where you work, at this moment, see it as your choice.  AND, work to your capabilities.

Where you lead, at this moment, see this leadership as your choice.  AND, lead your team with your “whole” heart.

When you can no longer work and lead with your whole heart, JUMP.

Jumping will feel terrifying and exhilarating.  You will be acting with integrity.  You will be doing the right thing.  AND, eventually you will be whole and much stronger.  You just will.

AND, remember…

Where you live, at this moment, see this address as your house.  AND, jolt yourself out of “victimhood” and into the neighborhood of your choosing.

Call this residence your home and transform it into a real community.  Very cool.

Remember, you are free and you are responsible for your choices.  Your choices have consequences.

Do you see it?

Tell me more, my friend.

Tell me more…
