Every movie tells the story of the “hero’s journey.” We love this story at BTL and believe that it’s why we’re here. We’re here to get on our own builders journey and ignite yours. Very cool.
Every hero has an adversary. The 2.5 hour movie almost always ends with the hero overcoming their adversary and reaching their objective. We love happy endings. We love seeing the good guy prevail. We love resolved conflict. We love victory over another.
Here’s something I’ve mostly missed but have come to love. Don’t miss this. This could be huge.
The greatest victory portrayed in any film and in your and my reality, is the victory within.
The victory within.
Sure you and I have real obstacles facing us and even more hiding in the weeds. Our biggest problem, however, is always found within. Our biggest victory is unifying ourselves; getting comfortable in our skin. AND, working on our own character flaws. Tonight when you turn the mind down and turn the tube up, check out this theme running throughout whatever it is that’s caught your attention. We all love the hero’s journey because we all have been made for something magical, something more, and something that gives our lives meaning. Yea, BABY.
AND, we’ve all got to face our character and it’s flawed nature and get busy getting after it. Funny the biggest challenge is always within. The adversary may catch our attention when we watch William Wallace battle the English. The real battle, however, is mostly unseen but very real. The real battle is looking in the mirror and coming clean. The real battle is facing our own selves and working to change the one thing we can control; our character.
Funny, huh…
