Belief that has been built…

I often tell my clients that I’m not much good to them and their teams if I’m not willing to challenge them to the very edge of their ability.  I really believe this.

I have to be willing to risk real pain and a negative outcome if I want to have any clients taste transformation.  I have to be willing to get fired in my attempt to stoke the fire in another.  Sometimes, I push too hard.  Oftentimes, I don’t push hard enough.  I’m aiming at truth in LOVE and I’m far from the mark.

As I gain strength in my interior, however, I’ve found the ability to push more consistently, more comfortably, and more meaningfully.  AND, most of my push, most of my toughest challenges are directed at me.  As I continue to push myself out of my comfort zone, the push directed toward my clients comes more naturally and is received more readily.  It just is.

In your place of work, apply the same recipe.  Push yourself to extend beyond your current level of skill, capability, and comfort.   Challenge yourself like a banshee.  Don’t wait for somebody else to push you.  Most do.  Most are still waiting…

Grab the reins to your interior and get busy.  Crank out your sCORE. Invest plenty of time in the dark so you can come out with some real clarity and light.  Yea, BABY.

Your sCORE within, your clarity coming out, your conviction going forward, and before you can say STAND, you just will.  You will find yourself challenging your boss, your co-worker, your team mate, and your clients not out of fear, not out of anger, but because of your belief of what works.  Belief that has been built with your toughest leadership challenge, building you.

Remember, you aren’t much good to your place of your work if you’re not challenging yourself, your teams, and your leaders to the very edge of their ability.  You just aren’t.

Your OPUS isn’t going to be easy.  Funny, huh…
