Most people are preoccupied, or so it appears. This preoccupation is normally around some kinda problem. Here’s the root problem. Most people are preoccupied with someone else’s problem. Talk about a recipe to drive you nuts…
And, most of us, are furthering our preoccupation problem by using technology to preoccupy us even further. Did you get this far in the short little rant, before your technology beeped, shook, or sang?
At work this preoccupation with others, could NOT be more true. Nor could it be more unproductive. Remember, preoccupied people underperform.
They just do.
Monday morning make it your occupation to focus on your OPUS and your PoP (Playbook of Productive action).
You have an occupation. The problem is, for too many, it’s not their opus; their labor of LOVE.
Work on solving that problem; and remember you are “free,” so this problem is under your control.
God help me, focus on my OPUS and do the REAL, HARD, WORK to PoP it out.
