Don’t you see it…

What did you just hear?

This question is a game changer when properly and consistently applied.  AND, when the receiver understands why it’s being asked.  Few leaders have mastered this discipline and fewer still have “set the table” properly so the receiver wants this clarity too.

Today, I helped one of my clients understand another habit of master connectors.  This discipline involved what NOT to send.  Here it is.  Do NOT send this.

Master connectors do NOT say, “Don’t you see it?”  Masters don’t say, “Don’t you get it?”  Master connectors are masters at sending the positive statement, period.  My client gets things really quickly and has the habit of getting frustrated when normal people seem to continualy miss the mark or miss the message.  He was blind to this habit.  You may be as well.  I know this is a BIG one for me and I’ve got a long way to go.  I just do.

Remember, once we know something we tend to forget what it felt like when we did not.  The Heath Brothers labeled this “the curse of knowledge.”

Make this a habit of your heart.
