More power in the pen…

The ability to communicate knowledge in written form has been one of historys greatest predictors of “success.”  We know that the Spanish conquered the Inca Indians primarily because they had read about them prior to confronting them in battle.  The Inca knew nothing until they met them face to face.  The results were disastorous for the Inca.

History also tells us that the greatest advantage the rich have over the poor,  is not measured in dollars but in access to written information that is easily understood.  The spread of poverty and disease, at it’s root, is principally caused by a lack of knowledge.

Today, we have far too many business systems in our country that are ignorant or simply ignoring these facts.  Huh…

We assume too much.  We just do…

CEO’s tell me all the time that their Vision is clear.  Their team tells them over and over that it’s NOT.

I simply ask to see it in plain English.  The few times that it has been reduced to writing it hasn’t been rinsed enough to be real and it hasn’t been repeated enough to be really understood.  Most times, however, it’s not been written.  Period.  It’s simply been assumed.

There is real power in the pen.

Are you rich or poor when it comes to this fact?  Have you authored your OPUS?  Have you written out your PoP (Playbook of Productive Action)?  Are you showing up in your market place without knowing who, what, where, and why answers?  Are you learning from history or simply and blindly repeating it?  How do you know?

Tell me more, my friend.

Tell me more…
