Today a client of mine told me that he “wished” he had more access to his companys founders. I asked him to tell me more. He did. He likes who they are. He likes the way they make decisions. He likes the way they treat people and even how they resolve conflict. He simply wishes he had more touch points with them. I had him go back and read a blog titled, wish less and want more. He did.
I asked him to extrapolate to his situation. He’s a good thinker and quickly realized that his wishing problem was fear based and really irrational. The dreaded “F” word again…
Remember, the root of wishing problems are deep seeded FEAR.
After we read a bit from the Courage Essential, we gained clarity that the opposite of fear isn’t really courage. It’s LOVE. It just is. We both kinda laughed and then I asked him to write out his productive action to wish less and want more. He did.
He will soon have more access to the founders of his company. Funny, huh.
