Today one of my clients told me that his beliefs are his beliefs and that he wasn’t so sure it was worth the effort to gain the kinda clarity I’ve been pushing for since beliefs, by their very nature, aren’t empirically true.
Do you see his worldview seeping out of those statements?
I asked him if he knew what a plank was and he responded with yes he did. We set my ipad on the floor, turned the stopwatch on, and began a pushup plank.
We planked.
We tested his core. I talked to him about the power of his belief system and why we believe it’s no soft subject at BTL. I told him that his worldview is comparable to his transverse abdominus muscle, in that it holds his entire CORE together.
At the three minute mark he told me that his core was failing and he could no longer stand the pain. He collapsed on the floor and sweat beads began to bubble on his forehead.
I reminded him of why we plank to strengthen our literal core and why we rewrite our worldview to do the same to our CORE. He got the message.
Your belief system, is your belief system. Just because you believe something doesn’t make it true. And, just because you believe something that can’t be seen, like the wind, doesn’t make it soft and squishy and only true for you.
My clients worldview most resembles a “post modern” worldview. Today, however, he discovered that he needs to plank it out a bit to either strengthen it or change it.
How tight is your worldview?

Love this Chet.
A strong core is very attractive.
Keep speaking the Truth in Love.
