The waiting game…

Every movie tells the story of a hero trying to do something that he/she believes in.  The hero is always blocked, often quite predictably, by their adversary.

Batman had the Joker.  William Wallace had England’s King.  Ferris had the Principal (gotta love that one).  101 Dalmations had Cruella Deville.  The movie always produces conflict and in 2.5 hours time, resolves it.  We love watching someone overcome the conflict with their adversary, their Joker, their Cruella, or their undeserving King. We love watching…

The problem, however, is that when it comes to our “real lives” and our real conflict with our “Kings,” we are too passive to act, and too quick to rationalize why. So, we wait. We talk to the court Jester. We talk to the Kings men, we talk to the palm reader, and we talk to anybody that will listen.

We stop short of telling the King.

This life will not make much of a movie. Nobody cares about the story where you just kinda survive but never really STAND.

Remember, your real conflict is not with another, is it? The real struggle, for all of us, is the struggle within. The manifestations are with others, certainly. The roots, however, are sown in our very souls. Resolve that, my friend. Resolve within…

Do you have a vision worth dying for?

Do you know why?

Are you living out your labor of LOVE or simply surviving as a highly paid laborer?

Do you LOVE going home on friday and LOVE getting in on monday?

Why are you waiting for something or someone to change the game? Why are you playing the waiting game, my friend?

Why? Why? Why?
