Why are participants so tired after an 8 hour BTL practice? Why are participants so tired after a 4 hour BTL practice? Why are participants so tired even when we cut BTL practice time in half again, down to 2 little hours?

In a lake, there is a patch of lily pads. Every day, the patch doubles in size. If it takes 48 days for the patch to cover the entire lake, how long would it take for the patch to cover half of the lake?

24 days or 47 days…

We all have a brain that we are using to solve this problem. Our brain doesn’t want to work and will solve our problems using the least amount of energy possible.

During BTL practice, participants are forced to question their thinking. This process produces the best results but it takes a toll, you see. Your brain, when you make it work, uses as much sucrose as your quads consume when you call on ’em to sprint. How long can you sprint these days…

A cup of coffee and a donut cost $1.10. The coffee costs one dollar more than the donut. How much does the donut cost?

Leaders make decisions and are judged by their quality. The problem with most leaders is that they are making too many decisions without thinking AND taking too long to make the few decisions that matter.

Slow down and reflect.

What is your tendency. Are you trusting your gut, your intuition, when the facts facing you scream to differ? Are you looking for one more fact before you choose to ACT?
