Faking it…

I’ve often told my clients that life, at it’s most basic, is an energy management problem. The older we get, it seems, the more demands we place on our energy, the quicker our energy is depleted, and the longer it takes to replenish our energy.

So, what part of the body consumes the most glucose, the energy source you’re running on? What do you guess? The quads, the buttocks, or the biceps? Nope.

The brains.

The human brain is 2% of our mass, and consumes 20% of our glucose. The more your work and life requires that you think, the more run down your energy reserves. This is why we often crave something sweet when we’re tired. Your brain isn’t silly. It is losing steam and knows the quickest way to recharge is with a straight shot of sugar.

Want to save some precious energy? Here’s a really easy trick that saves you from burning valuable glucose. This is super easy.

STOP faking.

STOP wearing a mask. STOP trying to be someone that you’re not. STOP fear based conformity, fear based people pleasing, and fear based faking that you’re into your work, your sport, or your neighbor when you’re not. Turns out that telling your brain to “fake it,” uses up a ton of glucose as it’s got to fight to hide and suppress your automatic facial expressions, hand illustrations, and all kinda body signals that are suppossed to work without your thinking. “No can do” when you are trying to decieve. Funny, huh.

Another reason to build your CORE. There’s just not enough energy to fake for a lifetime…
