Why we’re here…

Your CORE is at the center of a great work and life. At BTL, we believe no term paper, thesis, or best selling book will be as rewarding to its author as authoring, and living, your CORE.

Your “figurative” core is comprised of six elements, beginning with the most important, your worldview. Your identity and principles combine with the WV to form the (W.I.P.), a perpetual work in process.

The W.I.P. combines with your 3P’s to complete the six pack. Your passions, your purposes, and finally your process for turning your CORE to your sCORE (strong core).

Today, I’m reviewing rinse number eleven with a client that has come out of the fog and into clarity. Less than a year ago, he had no idea. He was, like so many, a highly paid laborer. He’s becoming an OPUS practioneer and is in the process of converting his work and life to his labor of love. Freakin’ MAGIC.

Today, as we rinsed his six pack and OPUS documents, I was struck by the change in his outlook and perspective. Clarity is a good thing. It’s hard to possess confidence, conviction, and calm when you can’t see where you’re going. His eyes and his newfound PA tell me all I need to know. He’s got it.

Here are his CORE principles, those values that mean the most to him and will guide his way out of the shire, through the struggle, and toward his big dream. Check ’em out and let them inspire your W.I.P., they have mine.

Principles: Your strongest values that guide how you live and work.

Hard work can flat out make up for gaps in intelligence, experience, and luck.
People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.
Build TRUST. Accept TRUST.
Be honest – It always comes out. You might as well control when and how.
Win as a family/ win as a team.
Practice humility – you are never as good as you think you are.
Build discipline around my gaps.
Put first things first – secondary things will increase not decrease.

This man is kicking ass, mainly his own but not exclusively. He’s authored his WIP&3P, he’s popping it, and he’s experimenting with his OPUS. He is becoming a “soul on fire.”

This is why we’re here…
