kman and his clan…

Practice two and it felt like twenty. Yesterday, with a team of five, we took in 14 minutes of u2. We read and wrote in the playbooks. We spoke and listened. We extrapolated everything we took in. Some took it home, some kept it here, and some took it personal.

kman (pronounced Cayman) took it ALL in.

You see, kman, is my crazy client that is doing what most folks only dream about. He’s authored his OPUS and he’s built his sCORE. He’s made the tough decision to PoP it with rigorous discipline. And, kmans investment in building himself, FIRST, is beginning to pay him the kinda dividend that just keeps coming. You see, this dividend comes from within. Yea, baby.

kman is building within and now he’s beginning to build “out here” as well. He’s taken his time to hire Todd and taken even longer to hire Reika, Julian, and Lauren. Together, this team of five is becoming a clan that is distinct and deeply connected. Very different and very united. Todd’s structure and order is freaking magic next to kman and his ideas. Reika is the ROCK. Her faith just oozes. Very cool. Julian is competitive and has a mind that thrives when it’s challenged. Amazing. Lauren is brillant and the one that’s gonna be some kinda glue. She has this aura about her that simply says “you’re welcome here.”

kman and his clan have taken up residence at the intersection of purpose and innovation. They have built a business around wellness, sustainability, philanthropy, and innovation. They’ve turned kmans OPUS into the most beautiful apartment community on the planet. What they are building makes no sense to most and perfect sense to them.  And, there you have it. There it is. There’s the recipe for building something that your competitors cannot replicate. There’s only one problem. You’ve got to start the building within, FIRST. You’ve got to start within. And, nobody’s got the time.
