Thirty three practices ago, Lauren and Kathleen came together with a handful of others to check out their first BTL practice. They were unsure of what to expect and more unsure of themselves. They sounded normal, almost “Hallmark cardish,” you could say. They were good employees and got the job done.
Yesterday, Lauren role played as if she were the head of the system and Kathleen role played herself. Lauren helped her teammate get a bit more clarity around her overarching vision, the “O” in her OPUS. Twenty one of their teammates watched as these two strong, young women made real, hard, work, look e z p z. They have both found their voice and it sounds weird, in a good kinda way. Weird, remember, is our aim. And, in this system weird is spreading.
Keisha wants to run some kinda quality assurance. Ashlinn is working on her law degree and bringing legal in-house, in due time. Kari has already left the shire and running training down the rails. Lauren, the same with sales. Kathleen is making clients remember by delighting them with service, not just talking about it. And, so many more are on the road to clarity. So many more.
Thirty three practices ago a small team of collectors showed up to participate in a leadership development program called BUILT TO LEAD. Yesterday, a team of 23 ran BTL practice. They grabbed the reins. They are becoming leaders. They are becoming builders. They are becoming built to lead. There is no going back…
Normal, hallmark cardish kinda folks need not apply. L.A.U.R.E.N., K.A.R.I., T.R.A.C.I., K.A.T.H.L.E.E.N., and all other kinda crazies are running around like the mustangs that they are.
Labor day was a nice day off, I guess. OPUS days, however, are everyday around here. And, these crazies are going off. Really going off.
What kinda team are you building? One that looks forward to labor day or one that is lit up and going off everyday?
How are you modeling the way, my friend…
