Matt, Sam, Fear, and Y.O.U….

High performance humans fear something kinda weird. Normal folks fear being found out, fear what others think, and fear they’ll never make it. High performers fear success. Funny, huh.

Here’s why. High performers fear the result of their success. They fear their success will leave them alone. Need a visual? Watch Matt Damon in the movie, Good Will Hunting. He was afraid to lose his friends, so he played small. Peace comes when you dream and do, let it rip, take the leap, discover your craft, and decide to work on mastering it. Your real friends, just like Matt’s, won’t leave when you do. Kinda like Sam, in Lord of the Rings, they’ll jump in after you, swim out to your boat, and together you’ll head off on your builder’s journey. Very scary and very cool.

Remember, fear is not going away. Face it. And, let the love of your OPUS fuel your decision and attract the few to follow. Once you’ve jumped, you will realize you’ve made it. Funny, the jump comes first.

Y.O.U. were made for this…
