Leaders show the way…

Leaders emphasize strength. Faux ones fixate on pathology. Leaders focus on challenge; faux ones on comfort and “playing nice.” Leaders build teammates that are distinct and deeply connected; faux ones settle for false harmony. Leaders demand progress with purpose; faux ones tolerate a team settling for peace and pay.

Leaders show the way; faux ones, shout it.

Leaders embrace pain and suffering; faux ones, make sure you pick up your cross; their own, not so much. Leaders speak truth and aim at truth in LOVE. Truth in anger is their worst expression, at least it’s honest. Faux leaders spin shit and have been doing it so long they buy it too. Leaders are performance aggressive. Faux leaders are fake. Most of them hide their true feelings with passive aggressive snipes until they explode. Talk about a shit storm…

Leaders STAND and calmly model the way, embrace pain and suffering, and attempt to embody truth in LOVE. Faux leaders, driven by anxiety, suffer a failure of nerve. The world is full of the latter and desperately in need of the former. Be one, my friend.

Be ONE...
