Whatever event you are working on currently with your team remember this. Whatever “show” you are currently preparing for remember this. Whatever letter you are writing to inspire your team remember this.

Your team changes behavior based on frequency and followup much more than you realize. We overvalue the show “faux-sure,” this much we know. Behaviors are not broken, remember. Behaviors are simply replaced with better ones. Replacement involves a long and lengthy process. And, the replacement only occurs when the “leader” places as much emphasis on the followup as they do, up front, on the show. Anything else is just “faux show” and not about real, deep change. Remember this, my friend.
