Wait…

Today we held practice 59 for a team of fourteen eventhough it was practice one for Liz. Liz, after 90 minutes of learning with her new mates, told us “people don’t talk like this anymore.” She said there was a raw and real feel that she hasn’t felt for quite awhile. She finished by telling us she imagined starting the week with BTL practice must be kinda “cleansing,” cause she felt like everybody was really tuned in and listening. Funny, huh.

Practice 59 felt exactly like practice one. Later, I connected this thought to my friend, Sully and he listened and laughed at the clarity. We reflected about his first practice back in 2007 and laughed at the similarity and the uniqueness too. And, he wrapped up our time by giving me an insight that really brought it full circle. Sully shared.

Together we improved…

He told me about the acrostic W.A.I.T. he had been introduced to recently by a friend of his. He said, W.A.I.T. is a really cool reminder to ramp up your listening and put the rev limiter or your speaking. Cool, I remarked, what’s it stand for. “Simple,” Sully replied. Why Am I Talking.

Why
Am
I
Talking

Wait for it, my friend. Wait. Tune in like an animal being stalked. Wait. Why could this be magic in the making for you? Why? Why? Why?

  1. Loved “waiting” to hear what you’ve been doing, Chet, and loved sharing insights together again. You are a bright spot in the Universe. Keep on building, brother. Keep on building!
