Look around you. Take a hard look. The people next to you matter. None of us is tough alone. Remember, you and I are not designed to go it alone. We cannot. We must not. Too many leaders try. Too many leaders try to do too much on their own. Too many leaders trust themselves a bit too much and their team a bit too little. Funny, they kinda feel heroic heading it too…

Life is hard and tough times don’t last, someone once said, tough people do. This is an incomplete and often misconstrued thought. Tough people do not last, alone. The Marlboro man is myth. Build toughness within, my friend. And surround yourself with tough, like minded teammates. Actually, leader, your job is to build them. The real truth is – Tough times don’t last; tough teams do.

What kinda team you building? Remember, you ain’t gonna make it on your own. You aren’t going to last when you tolerate weakness all around. You aren’t getting better hiding your team from truth. You aren’t doing your team a favor by letting ’em take the easy way round either. You aren’t doing yourself one either. Remember…
