Masters…

Process, personal, person. These are the 3P’s of a lifetime of learning. During BTL practice, I oftentimes interrupt practice and ask everyone to write what they just learned. First, write what you learned about the process. Secondly, write what you learned about yourself. Lastly, write what you learned about others – individuals, teams, and leaders. Process. Personal. Person.

Masters study. Masters learn. Masters apply. Masters study, learn, and apply. The application is where the magic appears. Today, during practice 79, I encouraged the team of fauxteen to focus more of their attention on applying. I want them to be more like Frankee and “play” with the process, so to speak. You see, nature shows us time and again the playful process is the one you want.

Too many humans forget what it’s like to play.

Playing is natures way of teaching us who we are, how we’re wired, what gives us energy, what zaps us, and how to figure it out too. Watch babies – you’ll see them play with everything they can get their hands on.

Today, during practice 79, a team of fauxteen learned a ton. The few deciding to play with it are gonna get better quicker than the normal ones that wait till they figure it all out before taking the first baby step. What baby step you takin’ to play with what you learned today? What baby step you takin’ to play with a friend? What baby step you takin’ to play around, period?

Masters study, learn, and apply. Masters study the process, themselves, and those around them. And, masters play around with what they’re learning. Yup, there you have it.

Masters play…
