As I felt sorry for my sorriness this morning sitting in the waiting room waiting for Dr. Cuttfirstaskquestionslater, I polished off the book titled simply, The Trident. This book was recommended by my friend, Sam, and was well worth the investment of time. Yup, it was another book about the SEALs. I was waiting for cut 36 this morning and feeling fairly down about my plight when I read through Jason Redman’s 2.5 year, 37 surgery reconstruction of his arm/face.
I vowed, yet again, to stop my sorriness.
Thanks, Red, for the perspective. And thanks for keeping sorry sacks like me safe. And, not just safe when you really think about. We, in this great country we call home, are free to live lives in the direction of our dreams – whatever they may be. All humans face some kinda adversity. Only a few of us have the gift of freedom coupled alongside. Make the most of your freedom, my friend. Afterall, Red, and all the other wounded warriors didn’t sacrifice so you could simply sit around and survive. Make it count, my friends.
Make it count…
