Another melody line thought…

Friday morning I started early and asked client number one to take a shot at the melody line of my day to day work. I reminded him the melody line of becoming BTL is simple.

1. Build your strong CORE.

2. Authentically author your OPUS.

3. PoP both like a disciplined banchee.

The reality of my day appears somewhat different. Everyday I invest most of my time helping my clients deal with some kinda serious shit storm. The raw reality of my work is a bit different than our aim. We never lose sight of the BTL melody line but we invest most of our day to day practice a bit more practically. Client number one didn’t guess correctly but he wasn’t far from the mark. The melody line of my day is working with client after client and team practice after team practice to dig up real conflict. And, I mean dig it up at it’s root. The form of conflict follows a very specific pattern.

1. Conflict with loved ones (80 % with beloved).

2. Conflict within.

3. Conflict with others.

Here’s the craziness to said conflict – both the first and the third are linked around the middle one. And most humans can’t see their own blindspot cause they’re fixated on another’s. Do you see this? Are you fixated on another or figuring out how to illuminate what you cannot find on your own?

Tension is the enemy to performance. Tune in within. Ask those closest for help. Funny how fast 1 & 3 improve when we focus within, FIRST…
