The best week of my life…

Alright, I’m not sure this week was the best week of my life cause my memory isn’t to be trusted. However, I’m quite certain of this – this week was the BEST work week of my life.

Unlike my client kman, I didn’t win any big awards this week. Congrats kman on winning the Big E. In fact, I didn’t win anything this week. Practices were good whether one on one or one on a few. Practices are always good. No big revenue spikes this week. Nope, none. My former client with an outstanding balance didn’t suddenly and surprisingly decide to make good on his debt. Nope, nothing. No breakthrough insights came this week unless you think I can count the latest acrostic of C.O.P.’s & p.i.g.’s. Yeah, I agree, not all that earth shattering. This past week nothing spectacular seemed to rock my work world. There was one seemingly insignificant nuance – I hired our first Intern. Yup, I did. And, he started this Monday.

He was amazing. He showed up on time and ready to go each and every day. He participated in practices and smiled and laughed a lot. He took great notes and seemed to light up every room with his presence. He caught a couple mistakes of mine and mid – course corrected me in the moment. When he spoke, people listened. He took the work seriously and had fun. He even wore a sombrero during the Three Amigo practice yesterday. BTL’s best intern has only got 51 more days before he’s gotta move on but we are gonna make the most of it. You see, this past week was the best work week of my life because of him. He made me smile. He made me laugh. He made me so happy just watching him for hours upon hours. He’s a keeper. In fact, I’m already certain our second intern won’t possibly fill his shoes. There’s just no filling his shoe…

Who is this most amazing, talented, and wonderful addition, you ask. I am so happy you finally asked, my friend. His name is T. Tay. T-Scott,Tees, Taylor. As much as I love nicknames I prefer calling Taylor by his identity with me. My Son….

Thanks, Son, for the best week of my life.
