OPUS Focus

The melody line of Practice #11 and Practice #21 and Practice #121 for three different teams this month was the same.

The team in Practice #11 identified fortresses. The team in Practice #21 identified fears. The team in Practice #121 identified the enemy of noise.

The common melody line of the three teams was they identified misplaced FOCUS.

When you focus on playing it safe, your comfort zone becomes your fortress. When you focus on surviving instead of thriving, you become a slave to your fears. When you focus on things outside your influence, you become sidetracked by the noise of endless distractions.

The antidote is the same.

Focus on your OPUS. “Opus Focus” is what you want. It will keep your eyes off the bogus hocus pocus within you and around you.

Your Opus is your labor of love. Focusing on your Opus will make you uncomfortable in a good way — it will get your focus on your dream and uncomfortable with settling in your current state. Your current state is only your fortress if you are unwilling to leave it. Your fears will only control you if they are greater than what you love. The noise will only distract you if you pay attention and give heed to it.

Focus on your Opus. Help a fellow builder do the same and let them help you. You will become free to move onward on your Builder’s Journey.

Together We Improve.
