One & two…

Today, I practiced with my two clients who vacationed with me in the French Alp. Both practices were freakin’ magic to me. You see, while we pedaled, pushed, and played together in France for 8 days, I was tuned in like an animal being stalked. These two men hired me to make them do what they can and I wasn’t about to squander my opportunity to study them away from the comfortable confines of home. So, today, I hit them with the melody line of my learning. My attempt was to hit them with the truth. This is always my aim. Simple & so hard…

Client one is gonna work on learned optimism in a very specific sense. You see, client one is optimistic – he exudes positivity. However, he tends to go catastrophic when he encounters distressing experiences especially when he’s in the middle of the initial surprise, so to speak. Normal. Yup, it is. His aim, remember, is to become one of the few. This nuance is small and the result could be huge. Today, I painted a panoramic picture he couldn’t miss. He’s already building his a,b,c,d, and e’s. He got it.

Client two is gonna work on laughing, not loathing. He already has an easy laugh and inviting nature; he’s just got it wrapped in an intense exterior. He’s gonna pray and STOP trying to answer questions posed as statements. I read client two this snipet from the book, The Alchemist. “When you possess great treasures within you, and try to tell others of them, seldom are you believed.” He got it.

Both these men are BTL. For me it is a great pleasure climbing alongside them. And, it is real, hard, work pushing peak performers. FM, baby.

I hope this rant doesn’t read like French to you, but it just might. For the audience which this is intended, I hope and pray you get more than I could intend. And, remember, I believe in you. I believe in you, One & Two…
