Today, as we were putting the final touches on our one on one practice, my client expressed his frustration with following my way. He told me he feels like he’s still following instead of finding his own. I asked him to tell me more. He did.
He told me thought about writing the other night before our practice but it just wasn’t a priority. So, he chose not to. He felt some kinda guilt like maybe he was somehow letting me down. After we talked a few minutes longer, I reminded him of the BTL way. Our way is designed purposely to allow our clients to find their way. We provide the framework and are catalysts for our clients. Simple and real, hard, work.
I reminded my client this is the why behind me wanting him to rinse his worldview until it represents his bolted on beliefs. Finding ones own way requires a strong CORE. Always start here, my friends. Authoring ones OPUS provides an authentic aim for work and life. This is why I want my client to get his priorities in focus. This is why he’s gotta write, write, and write some more. Clarity comes with writing. Clarity cannot be given you. Clarity is earned with ACTion. The more writing you do early in the builders journey, the less mid-course correction is required, and the shorter and less painful the pitfalls along the way. You see, the BTL way is to provide a framework for you to find your own way.
Your writing is essential, I reminded my friend. Funny, isn’t it, most humans want to find their way but lack a process and a catalyst to keep ’em going. BTL’s way is kinda crazy ’cause we can’t control it. You, my friend, determine how fast and how far we go. My client and his clarity are coming. Fits and starts here we come. Linear progression, remember, is a myth. Finding our own way is always taken in fits and starts. I feel better already. Fits and starts it is.
Fits and starts…

A good one!
