Your pen…

Recently a client, after listening to my challenge to stand up to his leader, told me he doesn’t like it when I call him a victim. He prefers to think of himself as a mule in a pen. He’s dependent, he went on to tell me, upon his leader to come feed him. He wants me to tell him how to get out of this pen he finds himself in. He wants out of the pen but isn’t willing to opt out. He can’t see starting over at this late juncture in life. He wants to learn how to stand up in his pen. Are you getting this?

Here’s what I told him. Do not miss this. This could be huge. I told my mule the way to stand in the pen is through the power of his pen. The same will be true for you. The way out of whatever victimhood residence you’ve settled in, begins with the power of your pen. Study history and you will see great lives gained clarity, conviction, and confidence through their pen. The way out of your pen is through your pen. Don’t believe me. Study history, you’ll see. The more you write, write, and write some more, the more likely you are to someday become the CEO of Y.O.U.
