Bono, the leader singer for U2, doesn’t sport a tatoo and doesn’t plan to. He did say, however, that if he ever changes his mind, he already knows what it would say – “Vision over visibility.” He believes this statement. He believes in the unseen, the unknown, and leads his life accordingly. Those three words mean a lot to him. He can talk about these three words in depth for hours and come back to the same three word melody line. Makes sense to me.
Three years ago, which seems like three minutes, kman asked me for my favorite statement on leadership. He wanted to put a quote from me and numerous others on the walls of the beautiful buildings he and his team were building. I was and am flattered by the thought. My response took next to no time. I didn’t have to think about what I would say. I simply told him, next to my name, write this – Leaders are believers.
