Today, as we concluded practice 139 with kman’s krazies, I told a couple stories. One was about Southwest Airlines and how they make mistakes toward the customer as a matter of policy and another was about my interns observation around team practice. Tay’s been sitting in on a bunch of practices this summer with five different teams and recently one participant asked Tay what he’s been learning. Tay thought for a moment before answering. Tay tends to do that; think and then speak. He doesn’t use many words but he says a lot. After thinking, Tay replied with some ccd magic. “The best team practices are kman’s. Funny, he’s rarely there but nobody seems to miss him. Seems like the leader is always here.”
kman’s krazies are all bcoming leaders. They are beginning to believe they have what it takes. How ’bout your assoicates, employees, teammates, partners, or participants? As a leader are you giving them the right ratio of responsibility, authority, and accountability or are you holding on a bit too tight, giving ’em too much rope, or, worse yet, unclear about it all? Every leader gets exactly the kinda team they deserve. Want a better team? Become a better leader.
The Leader is Always Here. Thanks Taylor…
