Courage is love in action by definition. As leaders we need more. This is why in every virtuous synagogue, church, or mosque the strongest members are called upon to visit their Rabbi, Pastor, or Spiritual leader. You see, the Rabbi and Pastor naturally see the weakest and eventually are worn out in the process. The sick, weak, and dying call on every Spiritual leader the world over. Your leader is no different.
If you consider yourself a strong member of your team think about making a virtuous call on your leader. Don’t blow sunshine up his skirt, don’t wax eloguently while saying nothing, and don’t kiss his butt because he’s above you, instead, give him some courage. Give him something real. Look him/her in the eye and tell them some truth. Make it good news. After all, if you are one of the strong ones you’ve got something good going on, right? The word encourage, remember, means “to give courage.”
Your leader has an abundance of fear. He or she is just like a virtuous Spiritual leader or mother/father and they tend to take more responsibility then they ought. Today, give your leader a real gift. Encourage them…
