Thank you…

Today, with a really cool team I’ve come to appreciate over the years, we took a moment at the beginning of practice to listen to the song titled, 40 by U2. I’ve made this a ritual with our clients that reach 40 practices to pause and listen to one of my favorite songs while celebrating their commitment to getting better. Few teams do much more than an annual retreat, quarterly offsites, a few other team building events, and call it a day. Few teams are led by a leader who practices with them for weeks, months, and years. This team does. So, after we listened to 40, we got after it for just under an hour forty. We practiced. I hit them with some hard truths. What once sent a teammate into a tizzy, now brought a rye smile, a quick response, and a thoughtful, open-minded response. Good.

Yesterday, another client prepared to take their team to practice one. This leader has been building with BTL for only thirteen months. He’s grown like a weed. Someday soon, he’ll be listening to U2 as we celebrate his teams practice 40.

Today, we’re celebrating a record number of teams committed to BTL practice. We’re only thirteen years old as a team of builders, but we’ve been blessed beyond belief. We are a band of builders still singing our song. And, with every teams help, it feels like a new song. And, as Bono urges his listeners we urge you to sing along.

Thank you…
